1). Work within the structure of a community coalition consisting of PASS student members, local law enforcement, local retail merchants, community representatives, governmental agency representatives, church leaders, Chamber of Commerce representatives, governmental officials, and local citizens

2). Collaborate with various factions of the community to develop environmental intolerance of drugs, violence, and other risky behaviors in Autauga County adults and youth.

3). Provide peer modeling and substance abuse prevention programming for children and adolescents, particularly at-risk populations, in Autauga County. Puppet shows, Drug Jeopardy, and experiential activities are methods of presentation.

PASS also aims to spread the message that Club Drugs are dangerous, as shown in recent studies where Ecstasy is found to destroy the brain in a very short time-frame.

4). Provide substance abuse resource information for parents, local schools, and social service agencies in Autauga County.

5). Conduct the Autauga County Teen Court Program, which serves as a community-based intervention/diversion program designed to provide an alternative response for the juvenile justice system. Juveniles committing misdemeanor offenses appear before a peer court in order to receive offense-related sanctions. This program operates under the supervision of Autauga County Juvenile Judge Philip Wood.

6). Conduct the Autauga County Independent Decision Program, which serves as positive reinforcement for students choosing to remain alcohol, tobacco, and drug free. Students enter the program voluntarily and must have parental consent. In order to participate, students agree to an initial drug screen and periodic random drug screens. After testing negative, students are issued a picture identification card that entitles them to discounts from area merchants, as well as admission to sponsored social events. The main purpose of the program is to support positive, drug-free lifestyles among Autauga County adolescents. This program is a collaborative effort between PASS, Inc. and the Autauga County Board of Education.

7). PASS, Inc., in partnership with the Autauga County School System, monitors all truancy cases for the public school system. This service provides assistance, counseling, and support for families dealing with children who have excessive unexcused absences. The truancy program serves the family and student by assessing the problem, providing counseling if necessary, and ensuring that the truant student will be back in school.

PASS is a project of the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce and has been partially funded by: The Governor's Office of Drug Abuse Policy, State of Alabama Law Enforcement Division, Office of Juvenile Justice, Delinquency Prevention, Office of National Drug Control Policy, U.S. Department of Education Safe and Drug Free Schools, and local businesses.
