PASS Teen Court

teen-courtThe Teen Court program serves as a community-based intervention/diversion program designed to provide an alternative response for the juvenile justice system. A peer court hears the cases and assigns sentencing. Teen Court clients have less than 10% recidivism upon completion of the program.  For the past three years, Teen Court has averaged 43 clients.

Life Skills Education is required for all clients as part of the sentencing of Teen Court. Life Skills teaches youth proper decision making methods, managing stress and anger, healthy relationships, effective communications, etc.

Teen Court has volunteer opportunities available.  Call Teen Court Advisor: Tracie Cheeley at 334-358-4900 for more information.
